I fucking want one.

Do you have to have AWD?

Not mine but it did have awd hence the Quattro. It really makes a difference to the fwd A4.

Could you tell it apart from an A3 sedan? Also, which power output of the 2.0 TDI?

Imo it’s distinguishible from the A3 if you’re into cars, though the look very similar. The one I just drove was an Avant model.
2.0 with 190hp. Put the 115hp from my parent’s car to absolute shame. Quite impressive.

300lb-ft and FWD do not go together well.

Of course they are distinguishable, I was just joking, haha. For some odd reason my mind failed to think of the 99% possibility of you having driven an Avant.
190hp is a nice figure for a diesel, though I’m quite sure a 115hp diesel would also put your parent’s car to shame. My dad went from a 115hp Toyota Verso 1.6 (petrol) to a 115hp Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi a few years back, and the Focus was much quicker than the power would lead to expect.

Distinguishible for gearheads like us, most wouldn’t even look twice. Audi tries hard to make their cars look different from each other though.
The torque output of diesel engines amaze me everytime, for real. Funny that you mention it, a friend of mine recently picked me up in his new to him A3 with the 1.6 TDI which has the same hp figure as our car and like you said, the diesel felt damn quick.

Dump it when the warranty expires

1. It’s a lease
2. It’s not mine:)

Otherwise it will just eat front tires for breakfast.

True, they try hard and I think it is getting better, looking at for instance the kink in the A4's headlights which is wildly different from the A6 and A3.
It’s all about the torque, and the fact that modern small turbos allow for almost zero lag.

Yeah, I was thinking a RWD car would be more fun though, but I don’t know your climate

Rwd cars are probably way more fun even in the snow but I don’t have that much experience with rwd tbh. I’m a terrible Oppo:(
